The Waterford Viking Marathon started in 2012 and prides itself on being the South Easts friendly marathon. The 26.2 miles takes a relatively flat route that travels through the beautiful city and county of Waterford with the opporunity to enjoy many of the famous tourist attractions. With full marathon, half marathon and relay options there is something for runners of all levels.

We hope this year many of our friends, family and colleagues from abroad will come home and take part with a special prize this year for fastest overseas runner.

A great Family fun event takes place at the finish line in the RSC with music from local bands and other fun entertainment.
